Preschool and Daycare Screenings

Beyond Words Therapy Clinic offers free speech and language screenings. Screenings last approximately 10-15 minutes and provide a brief look at your child’s speech and language development to determine if further testing is warranted. Screenings do not take the place of evaluations and cannot be used to determine the need for therapy services.

Evaluations provide a more in-depth look at speech and/or language skills. Your speech-language pathologist will take approximately 60 minutes to get to know your child through play, conversation, observations, standardized measures and non-standardized measures of assessment. Evaluations are a crucial part of determining strengths and areas of need for your child, as well as determining the need for ongoing therapy services.

We currently offer comprehensive evaluations in the following areas: articulation, phonology, receptive language, expressive language, feeding, and stuttering. Please reach out to schedule an appointment!
