FORMAL EVALUATION
Formal Evaluations
Formal evaluations provide an in-depth look at speech, language, feeding, and stuttering. These sessions last around 60 minutes. SLPs use play, conversation, observation, standardized testing, and non-standardized measures to determine your child's strengths and areas of need. You will receive a written report outlining all evaluation procedures, scores, and recommendations for therapy services.

The evaluation is a critical step in helping your child communicate more clearly. It includes standardized testing, an official report with recommendations based on the results of those exams and follow up conference.
Formal evaluations are more in-depth than the initial consultation and can last about an hour.
